Jess advises clients on the full range of employment law and industrial relations issues, including contracts, engaging workers, termination of employment, transfers of business, restructures, enterprise bargaining, industrial instruments, policy drafting and review, payroll compliance and anti-discrimination obligations. With considerable litigation experience, Jess also acts for clients in the federal/state courts, the Fair Work Commission and VCAT.
Jessica is an experienced employment law practitioner who has provided strategic advice to clients across a cross-section of industries for more than 13 years. Having worked for leading Australian firms, Jessica has developed skill and passion for being a trusted advisor to her clients and empowering them to effectively manage legal risks. She achieves this by simplifying complex legislative frameworks and conveying key issues in practical terms.
Jessica advises on all aspects of workplace relations law, including general employment and HR issues, contracts, awards, enterprise agreements and corporate restructuring. Jessica is also an experienced adviser on privacy law and workplace health and safety.
Courtney has a wealth of experience advising and representing clients in respect of employment law and industrial relations matters, having previously worked in the leading employment practices of Herbert Smith Freehills and Maddocks.
Energetic and outcome-driven, Courtney takes a keen interest in her clients’ business goals and provides easy-to-apply advice to achieve commercially sensible outcomes. Courtney’s clients are diverse, ranging in size from multi-nationals to small businesses and hailing from sectors including education, health, transport, building and construction, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, financial services, and all levels of government.
Courtney is an AICD graduate and has complemented her legal career with directorships and leadership positions with Swimming Victoria and Cricket Victoria.
